Remote Appearance Requirements
Review the procedures for a remote appearance for your type of hearing. You may need to file a request and notice opposing parties prior to obtaining the remote appearance link from the court.

Con efecto a partir del 1.º de julio de 2022:
Ya no se aplican las reglas de emergencia 3 y 5 de las Reglas de la corte de California, que permiten comparecencias remotas en circunstancias específicas en procesos penales.
Los acusados y los abogados pueden comparecer en asuntos de delitos menores y graves de conformidad con los requisitos de las secciones 977 y 977.2 del Código Penal. Aparte de lo dispuesto en las secciones 977 y 977.2 del Código Penal, las comparecencias remotas de un demandado se pueden autorizar caso por caso solo si: la comparecencia remota del demandado es aprobada por la corte con anticipación y el abogado comparece en la corte de acuerdo con los requisitos de la sección 977 del Código Penal.
Todas las partes pueden comparecer en asuntos de delitos de acuerdo con los requisitos de la sección 1428.5 del Código Penal.

Remote Appearance Process

Before the Hearing
- An email invitation will be sent with the Meeting ID, the Password, and the dial-in number. Contact the court or your attorney if you do not receive this information.
Day of the Hearing
- If you do not get an invitation, contact the court or your attorney.
- Ensure your video and audio are working properly, and that your device is plugged in or fully charged.
- Dress appropriately as you would for an in-person court appearance.
- You must be in a private, quiet location, without disruptions or distractions. You may not appear from a moving vehicle or from bed.
- Join the hearing at least five minutes before your scheduled time. You may be placed in a waiting room before being admitted.
During the Hearing
- Upon entering the meeting, type your full name for proper identification.
- When the court is ready, you will be admitted into the hearing.
- Mute your microphone unless speaking.
- You may not record or broadcast except if in compliance with California Rules of Court, rule 1.150.
